About the Audiology Service
The General Audiology Clinic offers a complete range of hearing assessment and aural rehabilitation for children and adults. Access to specialist medical consultation is available when required.
Services provided by the general Audiology service include:
1. Full diagnostic hearing tests consisting of:
- Pure tone audiometry
- Speech recognition tests
- Impedance tests (middle ear function)
2. Electrophysiological testing including:
- Otoacoustic Emissions testing
- Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR)
- Electrocochleography (ECoG) and comprehensive vestibular assessments
- Cortical Evoked Response Audiometry
3. Central Auditory Processing Evaluation and Counselling
4. Aural Rehabilitation
5. Tinnitus Evaluation and counselling
