undefined

Background

The aim of this work is to improve and maintain the biology of the inner ear after deafness. The extent of the projects include preserving the nerves supplying the inner ear, attempting to regenerate these nerves through local drug application and stem cell research. It is hoped that the outcomes from this work will be applied clinically to improve the hearing quality of deaf patients receiving a cochlear implant.
